photos of rainbows sunsets
Pictures of the sky make great wallpaper, because the clouds often form low-contrast, interesting textures that make great backgrounds. Our sky
pictures photo gallery includes pictures of clouds of various types, pictures of the sky at sunset, and a few pictures of the moon. Pictured
above is today's photo from one of my favorite Vermont blogs, Megapickles. There is a text link to it in the left column of this blog too.

Rainbows are produced by the refraction of sunlight going into and coming out of raindrops, with reflection of the light inside the drops. You
can make artificial rainbows with a garden hose and a sprinkler head adjusted for a very fine spray. Rainbows are for everyone and I am
exercising my right to love Rainbows even though I am not gay!. I have nothing against the gay community but don`t approve of Rainbows being
classed as a gay symbol exclusively!. Rainbows are one of the most beautiful and intriguing phenomena in nature. Rainbows usually occur during or
just after a rainstorm once the sun has come back out.
Rainbows are very special displays of all the seven colors of light in the spectrum. Since each raindrop bends and reflects sunlight just like
a prism does, sometimes you can see a rainbow just after a rain shower just like the picture at the beginning of this project. Rainbows are
formed by light reflecting inside raindrops. Different wavelengths mean different angles of reflection--and different-sized rainbows.". Rainbows
are not seen in midday since the whole 42? circle is below the horizon at most latitudes. So rainbows tend to be seen most in the later afternoon
when a thundershower has passed and the sun from the west is illuminating the receding edge of an eastwardly moving raincloud.
Rainbows are produced by light refracting and reflecting off raindrops. Consider a light ray
that strikes the water drop right at the top of the drop at a glancing angle. Rainbows are actually light, which is made of a series of colours:
red, orange, yellow, blue, green, indigo, and violet. Light travels in waves. Rainbows are also proving to be hardier fish.
Rainbows are formed when the sun is shining in one part of the sky and water droplets in a cloud or falling rain is in the opposite part of
the sky. In the tropics, there can be rainbows year 'round. Rainbows are basically the same type of thing, except that in rainbows it is
raindrops that serve as prisms instead of ice crystals.
violet
Violet has the highest frequency and is refracted the most. Red has the lowest frequency and is refracted the least. Violet light emerges at
an angle of 40 degrees relative to the incoming sunlight. Red light exits at an angle of 42 degrees. Violet and blue, of course are refracted
most and so they are reflected from the bottom portion of the rainbow. This single reflection event is called a “primary rainbow”.
Violet rays arrive at our eyes at a forty-degree angle, red at forty-two degrees and the remaining five colors at degrees between these
two.

Rainbows Have been known to hunt and devour passenger airplanes, and more robust rainbows can crash a jet outright if it should collide with
the rainbow's colorful leg. Rainbows also have been known to maliciously distract and astound denizens below, with prey especially being
children, motorists, and librarians. Rainbow fringes can sometimes be seen at the edges of backlit clouds and as vertical bands in distant rain
or virga. The effect can also be artificially created by dispersing water droplets into the air during a sunny day. Rainbows in the clouds, in
the mist, in waterfalls, all glowing radiant magic colors. Rainbows is printed using Giclee, a museum quality digital printing process.
Rainbow fringes may periodically become seen at a edges of backlit clouds & when vertical elastic within distant rain or even virga.
Rainbows produced by waterfalls are usually less bright than some of rain-associated ones, probably because water droplets are too small. But
some waterfalls also send large volumes of large droplets in the air, as the water falls on rocks or canyon walls. Rainbows add colorful animal
badges to their vests as they complete requirements for the achievement program. Units can be completed in 4 weeks.
Rainbows can be quite refreshing. If you get in close enough not only will you get really wet, but you will get to see a full circle rainbow
floating right in front of your face.
