I think you could also add X-Spambayes-Spam-Probability and filter on that, but I haven’t tried it.

Spam is so pervasive now that I fear that people just interpret anything they don't want in their inbox as Spam. Hence the overuse of the button.

Emails are typically taller than they are wide, and it's easier to track line breaks. Email can be a angry breast. Don’t attempt to use it before taming it. Emails will also be flagged if there is no real content, just images. Take the time to learn what will throw up a flag and replace those words or tactics.

Email headers can be quite long -- mails that come through (legitimate) mailing lists for me often have headers that contain about three times as many characters as the body. Adding the ?private index? For providers that don?t support personal account search, the personal_index flag could be treated the same as no_index. Adding an e-mail account to Mail Beacon is just as easy—after selecting Add… from the Tools menu, you just enter the necessary information in 1-4 screens. The first screen is the server information for checking the account, the second it for sending e-mail, the third provides some options when checking accounts, and the fourth is for viewing e-mail. Additionally to the ‘All Mail’ folder I have also unchecked the trash folder, since I use the local trash folder anyway. This makes sense as long as you don’t need your deleted mails on several locations.

Of course, whether that tactic proved effective, we may never really know.
